Breaking news! MASC is proud to annouce the opening of a new sattelite location in Vanceboro, North Carolina to serve the needs of contractors working at our new owner site, PCS Phosphate. Right now, classes in Vanceboro primarily focus on Basic Orientation Plus and the PCS Phosphate site specific. In the future, we plan to offer all site specifics. Welcome to SORT

(Student Online Record of Training, the MASC online system for records verification).

What is SORT?

SORT is a system designed to provide training information to persons who need to verify that training. To use the system, you must request access from MASC, complete a user agreement, and set up a User Name and Password. MASC will assign you access as one of the following:

» SAFETY COUNCIL/Record Check

» CONTRACTOR

» OWNER SITE

To request access, call MASC at (910) 762-9557 or email bmorgan@ma-sc.org or bwiggins@ma-sc.org. You must be an ARSC affiliate, a participating Owner Site or a Contractor Company with training records at MASC to use SORT.

When MASC confirms your account, you will receive your username and password. Be sure to change the password to one of your own choosing when you access SORT. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your log-in information and the data that you access.

How do I get additional information or report problems?

Contact the MASC office at (910) 762-9557 during office hours or Bronwyn Morgan at (910) 612-0170.

How do I use SORT?

(1) Go to the MASC website at www.ma-sc.org.

(2) Click on the SORT tag at the right of the screen.

(3) Enter your User Name and Password.

(4) Based on your access level, you will have the following options:

(a) For SAFETY COUNCIL/Record Check access level, you will enter either the person’s social security number AND last name or the person’s badge number –You will access that person’s training record. (ARSC requirement: Always check the photo on the record when verifying the person’s training record and/or badge.)
(b) For CONTRACTOR access level, you will have an interactive list of your employees to select from (which will show all persons who have completed training and give you access to their records). You can also enter either the person’s social security number AND last name or the person’s badge number to access that individual’s record directly.
(c) For OWNER SITE access level, you will have an interactive list of contractor company names to select from (which will show all persons who meet the training requirements for your site and give you access to their records). You can also enter either the person’s social security number AND last name or the person’s badge number to access that individual’s record directly.
